We have decided that all presentations of VRST 2021 will be made online, considering the situation that foreign nationals are not allowed to enter Japan (as of September 20th).
Border enforcement measures to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

For domestic participants, we are preparing a local venue (Osaka University Hall, Osaka, Japan), in which they can connect to the online venue and also meet in-person with each other.
We plan to provide the option of using the local venue in the registration. The details of the facility, price, and the actual registration form will be announced at a later date.

ACM Symposium on Virtual Reality Software and Technology (VRST) 2021 will be a hybrid conference.

All sessions will be hosted through an online platform. Some of the sessions will also be held on-site at Osaka University, located in Osaka, Japan. The Osaka area (and nearby regions like Kyoto and Kobe) is quite populous and lively, and there are many places to visit such as historical buildings, lively entertainment areas, and amusement facilities.
