Benefits and Duties (tentative)

If you are an ACM VRST Student Volunteer, you are committed to volunteer for approximately 20 to 25 hours during the conference.

Specific tasks for our student volunteers include handling the registration desk, assisting with the recording of conference talks, setting up poster and demo sessions, being available to assist attendees with problems and questions, and more.

In return, you get free conference registration that gives you the chance to participate in the conference as well as social activities like the catered lunch breaks and the conference dinner. You will also receive a happi coat, a traditional Japanese festival jacket, so people are able to recognize you at the conference. This item may be changed later.

Serving as a student volunteer is a great way to connect with the VR community and experience the VRST conference first-hand as a vital part of the organizing team.

Arriving and Leaving

Student volunteers need to be available to help throughout the conference. You will need to arrive on or before Sunday, November 15, 2026 at noon for the SV orientation and be available until the end of the conference on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
