Registration

Important Notice On Taxation

Since VAT in Sweden is applied differently for residents or non-residents, it is important that you select the correct category.

In accordance with Swedish VAT requirements, any company or organization from outside Sweden with a registered VAT number (or equivalent tax registration number for companies outside of the EU) is NOT required to pay VAT for registration to the conference.

Delegates from Sweden, as well as delegates who do not provide a VAT or equivalent tax registration number, are required to pay VAT. VAT will be calculated automatically in the registration form on the summary page.

If the company or organization you are affiliated with has a VAT number or equivalent tax registration number, this will be required during the registration process. Please observe that the stated VAT number needs to be correct. If the wrong VAT number is stated in the registration form, a changing fee of SEK 250 will be charged, in addition to the VAT amount (25%). This mistake could also incur a penalty from the Swedish tax office for false information.

For EU countries; if you are unsure of the VAT number, click here to check and validate your VAT number.

Payment Methods

All payments must be made in Swedish kronor (SEK). All bank transfer charges in connection with transferring fees are to be paid by the delegate. No personal, company or Euro-cheques can be accepted. Payment can be made by the following methods:

  • Credit card – Visa, MasterCard or American Express. All credit card payments are made through secure and encrypted online payment gateway, and will be listed as a transaction with "Sweden Meetx AB" on your credit card statement.
  • Invoice – Only possible for Swedish companies/organisations with a valid Swedish VAT number (org. nr). Invoice should be paid within 30 days.

Categories

Please choose from below the right registration category that applies to you. (You will be redirected to the booking system provided by Trippus Event Solutions to complete the process.)

Please notice that if you select one of the options under "Delegate from Sweden" or "Delegate from country within or outside EU, without VAT or tax No.", 25% VAT will be added to the fee.

Duties and Benefits

Student volunteers will be required to help set up and perform a diverse variety of work during the conference, as needed. Duties will include bag stuffing, manning the registration desk, AV assistance, poster and demo setup, badge checking, break monitoring, etc. Volunteers will also need to be available during the conference if new tasks come up. (There will be approximately 16 scheduled work hours per student volunteer.)

Student volunteers will usually be able to attend most of the conference sessions, even while working.

In addition to the innate joys of performing the duties above, VRST student volunteers will receive the following:

    • Free conference registration
    • Free T-shirt
    • Invitation to an awesome Student Volunteers Party

    Arriving and Leaving

Student volunteers need to be available to help throughout the conference. You will need to arrive by noon on November 7 (Tuesday) for the Student Volunteers Orientation, and you should not plan leave the conference venue until conference teardown on November 10 (Friday). We strongly encourage you to stay as long as you possibly can, since we intend to host the traditional small party for all student volunteers on Friday evening. (Details on the party will be announced later.)

    Accommodations

We will not be able to provide free accommodations for student volunteers, but we will facilitate you teaming up with other student volunteers for sharing rooms. For affordable room rates please see the accommodations section on this page.
