Call for Papers VRST 2002

ACM Virtual Reality Software and Technology (VRST) is an annual conference devoted to the technical aspects of virtual reality. The first VRST was held in Singapore in 1994 and since then it has been held in Japan, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Taiwan, England, Korea, and Canada. This will be the ninth VRST annual conference to be held in Hong Kong, China. The VRST proceedings are published by ACM and can be purchased directly from them.

VRST 2002 will be held in Hong Kong, China, a dynamic city of over 6 million people and a meeting point of Eastern and Western cultures. The conference will be co-hosted by the state key lab of Zhejiang University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, in cooperation with other local universities in Hong Kong and Mainland China. VRST 2002 aims at bringing together researchers from both east and west continents to present the state-of-the-art VR advances in this ever-growing dynamic area. Post-conference tour to the major tourist sites in Hong Kong and Mainland will be organized.

The VRST technical program consists of high quality technical papers that are reviewed and selected by an international program committee. Papers are solicited on all technical aspects of Virtual Reality and related technologies, including but not limited to the following topics:

  • Collaborative / Networked VEs
  • Graphics / Image-based Algorithms
